Drift Diving: 

There are two ways to deal with mild current:  fight it or enjoy the ride.  And in strong current, fighting's out of the question, but diving isn't - when you're a PADI Drift Diver.

The PADI Drift Diver course teaches you the special procedures used in drift diving.  You learn the common techniques used for drift diving in open ocean, or in inland rivers.  Use this video to follow along with PADI Divers as they demonstrate the actual skills you'll learn in your Drift Diver course performed on actual drift dives.  You'll preview the thrills of soaring along with the current, while learning techniques like staying with your buddy, drifting with a group, appropriate entries, drifting with and without floats and more.

Once you've discovered the ease and joy of gliding with a current instead of fighting it, you may find that you not only don't mind drift diving, but prefer it.
